Dog Licenses run from January 1st to December 31st and must be licensed every year. To obtain a dog license you will need a copy of your dog’s current rabies vaccination information. Fees are as follows:

• Not spayed or neutered dog - $15.00

• Spayed or Neutered dog - $5.00

• Kennel License – Up to 12 dogs - $75.00 plus $5.00 for each additional dog.

• Replacement tags – Free

• Puppies must be licensed by the time they are 6 months of age.

• If your dog dies or you no longer have it, please notify the treasurer.

Dogs not licensed will be included on the “Delinquent Dog List” that is submitted to the Washburn County District Attorney for prosecution and fines, per County ordinance. A late fee of $10 will be imposed on any dog licensed after April 1st.
